It has been a thrilling week for our firefighting marshals as the trainings by renowned professional trainers were launched on the 17th February 2018. Enhancing competences and knowledge in firefighting is important to ensure effective role of marshals in implementing preventive measures and safety of the track throughout the race. The overall aim of the training was to operate fire fighting and fire protection equipment to a basic level of competency and to promote an awareness of, and confidence in, fire fighting, using different extinguishing mediums. This unique opportunity provided the combination of both theoretical insights and practical grounds in which firefighting marshals could put the learned knowledge into practice. Two groups of marshal (17-18 people per group) attended the trainings. Following the course, participants were tested and awarded with the international certificates that are valid for four years.
